STIPEND:
Health and life insurance as a full time employee, travel support to one national and one statewide meeting, vacation and sick time, and a cafeteria discount. A $1000 relocation assistance package is available for qualified candidates.

Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children's Hospital of South Texas is an 875 bed acute tertiary care, private, referral hospital for San Antonio and the south Texas area. The Methodist Healthcare System operates six acute care hospitals and three ambulatory surgery centers in San Antonio; a freestanding emergency center in Boerne; and manages the Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, Texas and Medina Regional Hospital in Hondo, Texas.  Methodist Healthcare is the largest provider of healthcare services in the region and enjoys the highest consumer preference share of services as measured by the National Research Corporation. Methodist has also won the San Antonio Express-News' People's Choice Award every year since its inception.

Methodist Hospital and Methodist Children's Hospital is an acute tertiary care, private, referral hospital for San Antonio and the south Texas area. Rotations include: Critical care, infectious disease, internal medicine, oncology, BMT, pediatrics, psychopharmacotherapy, solid organ transplant, and emergency medicine (split between adult and pediatric emergency departments).

The Methodist residency program is affiliated with the University of Texas. Residents participate in the UT Health Science Center Friday Seminars and Resident Rounds (a prep course for taking the pharmacotherapy board certification exam). A teaching certificate is available through UT if a resident wishes to pursue it. The SIDP Antibiotic Stewardship certification program is also available as a longitudinal elective.
