Dr. Strassels' research interests include understanding the epidemiology and economics of acute pain, cancer-related pain, palliative care, and pain at the end of life, as well as how outcomes research informs health policy. He is also interested in the intersection of law, medicine, and ethics as they apply to pain and issues at the end of life, medical decision making, database analysis, and the economic evaluation of pharmaceuticals and health technology.
