Holli Temple, PharmD, RPh, is the Clinical Pharmacist at North Austin Medical Center. Academically, Holli completed her B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1992, her B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Texas in 1994, and her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Texas in 1999.
Holli has served in various capacities at North Austin Medical Center (NAMC).
She helped open the facility in June 1995 and was responsible for implementing
outpatient pharmacy services while also functioning as a staff pharmacist for
the hospital. After completing her PharmD, Holli was promoted to the Clinical
Pharmacist position. In June 2002, Holli was named the interim Director of Pharmacy
for one year.
Since June 2000, Holli has served as a preceptor for pharmacy students on their
adult medicine rotation with several colleges of pharmacy. In addition, Holli
is the Institutional Coordinator for the Austin/Temple/Waco region for the University
of Texas, College of Pharmacy.
In addition to her activities at North Austin Medical Center, Holli has chaired
the Austin Multi-Institutional Review Board and has been a scientific member
of a second Investigational Review Board named Research Consultants Review Committee.
Holli has contributed to ASHP’s PharmPrep with both author and editor
responsibilities of the Renal Disorders chapter. She has also presented a poster
at both ASHP’s 2004 Midyear Clinical Meeting and TSHP’s 2005 Annual
Seminar.
Holli has received the following honors and awards associated with her pharmacy
practice: recipient of the 2004 Caregiver of the Year award from North Austin
Medical Center, named to the 2003 Rho Chi Alumni Honor Roll, and recipient of
the 2002 Wm. Arlyn Kloesel Outstanding Preceptor Award.
Holli is an active member of the Austin Area Society of Health-System Pharmacists,
Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and the American Society of Health-System
Pharmacists.
