Research & Teaching Interests
Health care costs and outcomes continue to receive attention in legislative and policy debates at the national, state, corporate and organizational levels. These debates center on issues pertaining to cost-containment and patient outcomes. Dr. Lawson's current research activities focus on factors affecting the utilization and costs of prescription medications and other health care services. In addition, he is involved in research to evaluate the effects of educational interventions.
His primary teaching interests include health care systems in the professional program and health care systems, research methods, and data analysis in the graduate program.
