Biographical Sketch
Jim Wilson, is Associate Professor; Head, Division of Pharmacy Practice,
and member of the Pharmacy Administration Division; College of Pharmacy;
The University of Texas at Austin; Austin, Texas 78712-1074
Dr. Wilson received his BSc and PharmD degrees from the Philadelphia
College of Pharmacy and Science, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; MSc and
PhD (clinical pharmacy) degrees from Purdue University, West Lafayette,
Indiana. He completed a residency in hospital pharmacy at the Hospital
of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Colonel Wilson spent over 22 years in the U.S. Army, concluding his
career as pharmacy consultant (chief pharmacist) U.S. Army and finally
as deputy director of health care operations and management support,
and pharmacy program manager, U.S. Department of Defense.
Dr. Wilson has over 30 years experience in management, education, training,
and research. His current major interests are in pharmacoepidemiology,
pharmacoeconomics, and the management of clinical programs.
