Cooperative Pharmacy Program Goals

The primary goals of the Cooperative Pharmacy Programs at UT El Paso and UT-Pan American are to:

1. nurture student interest in pharmacy as a career,


2. facilitate access to pharmacy education for youth in each region,


3. alleviate the shortage of pharmacists,


4. diversify the profession by educating more pharmacists who are sensitive to the unique needs of a largely Hispanic population,


5. address the pharmaceutical care needs of these underserved communities,


6. research border health issues.
