We feel that a College-based event is important for two major reasons:

If you have RSVP'd to bring a second guest, please bring a check on the day of the event. The schedule for the morning of April 18 will be as follows:
10:30-11:00: Arrive and check-in at the Carpenter-Winkel Centennial Room, 9th floor club at the DKR Texas Memorial Stadium (please enter through gate 5 or 6 and take the elevator to the 9th floor)
FREE PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE SAN JACINTO PARKING GARAGE (SJG) AND IN THE MANOR PARKING GARAGE (MAG). (see map below)
11:00-11:30: College Convocation
Master of Ceremonies: Dr. Patrick Davis, Senior Associate Dean
Introduction of Scholars: Dr. Richard Wilcox, Assistant Dean
Recognition of Individual Scholars: Dr. Maria Croyle, Professor
"The Eyes of Texas"
Students attending the University ceremony should be at the Frank Erwin Center by 1:00 p.m.
We look forward to your participation in the program and the opportunity to recognize your outstanding academic effort. If you have any questions, please contact Janet Larsen by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 512-471-1828.
The San Jacinto Garage (SJG) and Manor Garage (MAG) will be open and free to the public for Honors Day activities (see map below). Guests should take their ticket to the attendants and tell them that you are attending an Honors Day Program. The parking attendant will validate parking at no cost to Honors Day guests. Please arrive early, as there will be many people coming to UT campus on the morning of April 18th for Honors Day and other University activities. If you find the San Jacinto Garage (SJG) and Manor Garage (MAG) to be full, the next closest garage is the Brazos Garage (BRG), however parking will not be free at this location.
