College of Pharmacy Honors Day 2013

PHOTO

Thank you for submitting your RSVP for The College of Pharmacy Honors Day convocation to be held on April 13, 2013.  You may want to bookmark or print this page for future reference. If you need to go back to the RSVP system to complete or change any of your responses, you can do that anytime through April 1st, at which time the RSVP system will close.

We feel that a College-based event is important for two major reasons:

  1. To recognize the outstanding academic effort of our students who have achieved the University criteria for Scholar's recognition; and
  2. To recognize previous degree holders who meet the Scholar's criteria (since they are not included in the University ceremony).

Our celebration will consist of a brief program recognizing each Scholar, followed by a lunch for you and up to two guests.  The schedule for the morning of April 14th will be as follows:

10:30-11:00:  Arrive and check-in at the Red McCombs Red Zone I, 8th floor club at the DKR Texas Memorial Stadium (please enter through gate 14)

FREE PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE SAN JACINTO PARKING GARAGE (SJG) AND IN THE MANOR PARKING GARAGE (MAG).  (see map below)

11:00-11:30:  College Convocation

Master of Ceremonies: Dr. Patrick J. Davis, Senior Associate Dean

Introduction of Scholars: Dr. Richard E. Wilcox, Assistant Dean

Recognition of Individual Scholars: Dr. Kenneth A. Lawson, Professor and
                                                               Renee Acosta, Clinical Associate Professor

            "The Eyes of Texas"

11:30-12:30:  Lunch

Students attending the University ceremony should be at the Frank Erwin Center by 1:00 p.m.

We look forward to your participation in the program and the opportunity to recognize your outstanding academic effort.  If you have any questions, please contact Nicole Toomey by email at nicole.toomey@austin.utexas.edu or by phone at 512-471-1828.

Parking Information
The San Jacinto Garage (SJG) and Manor Garage (MAG) will be open and free to the public for Honors Day activities (see map below). Guests should take their ticket to the attendants and tell them that you are attending an Honors Day Program. The parking attendant will validate parking at no cost to Honors Day guests. Please arrive early, as there will be many people coming to UT campus on the morning of April 13th for Honors Day and other University activites. If you find the San Jacinto Garage (SJG) and Manor Garage (MAG) to be full, the next closest garage is the Brazos Garage (BRG), however parking will not be free at this location.
