The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy saluted the Pharm.D. Class of 2014 on Friday, May 16 and joined the rest of the university's graduate program in celebrating its Ph.D. and Master's students on Saturday, May 17
Pharmacy graduates also participated in the university-wide commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 17.
Several Pharm.D. students received special recognition including officers for the Class of 2014 – Molly Curran, president; Robert Smith, vice president; and Justin Varghese, secretary/treasurer.
Tony Vu was recognized for having the highest grade point average while Stephanie Martinez was announced as having the second highest GPA.
Awards for outstanding research were presented to Andrew Delgado, Ogechi Iwuorie, and Carolina Rodriguez while Christina Chang, Allison Packer and Catherine Pham were cited for excellence in patient care. Nicole Casciello, Jocelyn Joseph and Daniel Pham received honors for dedicated service while Mary Beth Karr, Stephanie Martinez and Marguerite Monogue were recognized for exemplary leadership.
The College of Pharmacy Alumni Association presented its Mortar and Pestle Award for leadership, service, patient care and research to Molly Curran, Veronica Fassio, and Kristen Thomas.
Pharmacy graduate students completing their studies were honored by the college at a reception on Saturday, May 17 at the North End Zone.
