Burkett named to Sheffield Award
Donna Burkett, clinical associate professor of health outcomes and pharmacy practice, has been named recipient of the Wm. J. Sheffield Outstanding Alumnus Award.
The College of Pharmacy Alumni Association presents the award annually as its highest tribute to an alumnus who personifies the attributes of the award's namesake, former Associate Dean Sheffield.
Burkett accumulated more than 25 years experience in hospital pharmacy management before accepting her faculty position where she teaches hospital pharmacy management courses and coordinates the Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences. She previously was director of pharmacies at St. David's Round Rock Medical Center in Round Rock, Texsan Heart Hospital, and Warm Springs Rehabilitation Hospital.
