2009 Research Excellence Day Abstract Winner – Dr. Asma Lat
Asma Lat, Ph.D., has been chosen as the 2009 Postgraduate/Residency Program scientific abstract winner for the 5th Annual Louis C. Littlefield Celebrating Pharmacy Research Excellence Day for her project entitled “Comparison of in vitro potency by minimum inhibitory concentrations and time-kill studies and the effects of human serum on echinocandin activity against Candida parapsilosis.”
Dr. Lat is currently an Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Resident at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, TX.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy in 2007, she completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Lat completed this work under the supervision of Dr. Nathan Wiederhold.
