The Louis C. Littlefield Celebrating Pharmacy Research Excellence Day, which began in 2005, is hosted by the College of Pharmacy during the university's research week. This event highlights the research accomplishments of our Pharm.D. students, honor students, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and residents.
The event is coordinated by the Office of the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies under the leadership of Dr. Carlton Erickson.
All eligible students are encouraged to participate by submitting an abstract and creating a poster presentation of their research project that is completed during their current program of study and training through the Pharm.D., honors, graduate, postdoctoral, or residency program. If you do not currently fall under one of these categories, please contact Sara Ricke, to confirm participation eligibility.
An abstract of each research poster is published in an event proceedings booklet. In order to ensure that everyone's efforts are included in the booklet, abstracts must be received by March 2nd, 2015. Pharm.D. students should discuss their abstract with their faculty mentors, and have them reviewed before submission.
A faculty committee chooses five abstract winners from the following categories:
The award-winners present their abstracts on Research Day during a brief seminar lecture to the college community. All who submit an abstract are required to display a poster.
Poster awards will be presented in each student category. Poster awardees will receive a ribbon designating their work as a “poster winner.” Their names will be published on the Research Day website along with those of the abstract award winners.
