Computer Labs & Electronic Classrooms PHOTO

Purpose

The LRC provides hardware and software computer support for the College of Pharmacy's students, faculty and staff. It maintains a teaching lab with 23 Dell SX270 Optiplex computers and a student lab with 32 Dell GX620 Optiplexes. All of the computers are connected at 100mps to the internet. Lab Manager, a product created and support by ACITS, manages both labs. The LRC also maintains the college's ethernet network.



Hours of Operation
Monday-Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.


Rules and Procedures for the Student Computer lab
The computer lab requires an EID account for access. This facility is restricted to College of Pharmacy students

  1. No food or drinks are allowed. Users violating this rule will have their access suspended for ONE week.

  2. Printing is administered by ITS printing and costs 11 cents per page, paid via Bevobucks.

Services Available

  1. One-on-one support and hands-on classes for productivity and internet applications

  2. Lab maintenance for the Teaching and Student Computer labs

  3. Ethernet Network maintenance for the college's offices, labs and classrooms.

Reserving the Teaching Lab
University departments can reserve the Teaching Lab (PHR 2.116) from 8:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. through Official Publications. Call 475-7600 for more information. For technical assistance regarding the Teaching Lab please contact Oliver Gomez (512-471-8451).
