College of Pharmacy faculty, staff, and upper division students will extend a warm welcome to the Class of 2010 through new student orientation beginning August 28.

The entering class will have opportunities to learn about college curriculum, the history of the profession, and professional development opportunities through a myriad of activities scheduled throughout the week.

Among the highlights will be the Monday afternoon White Coat Ceremony where parents and family members are invited to watch the entering students take their first step toward becoming professional pharmacists. The program begins at 4 p.m. in Burdine Hall, located just north of the original pharmacy building.

On Tuesday evening, August 29, the new pharmacy students will join other newcomers from throughout the campus in attending Gone to Texas, a University-wide celebration on the steps of the Main Building held on the eve of the start of fall classes.
