Both The University of Texas and the College of Pharmacy have a special commitment to students to provide sound academic advising. In order to meet that commitment, The University has developed a Mission Statement that serves to focus the many Advising Services available across campus. The College of Pharmacy, in accordance with The University mission, employs a number of academic and career advisors who do an excellent job in matching students with the resources and information they need.
Pharmacy Professional Students
Advising is done in the College of Pharmacy. Undergraduate Pharmacy Students seeking academic advising should contact Greg Caldera (512-475-9754) or Dr. Rich Wilcox (512-471-1737) for an appointment. Pharmacy Graduate Students should contact Mickie Sheppard (512-471-6590) for an appointment.

Pre-Pharmacy Students
Advising is available for pre-pharmacy students in the College of Natural Sciences Health Professions Office, GRG 234, (512)471-3172.

Transfer Students
Students doing pre-pharmacy work at another institution should contact Ann Spencer (Admissions Assistant) or Dr. Rich Wilcox for advice about applying to The UT College of Pharmacy, how pre-requisites will transfer to UT, et cetera. Students can view course equivalencies for many of the universities around the USA by visiting our Course Equivalencies web page. All University Students
The Counseling and Mental Health Center is a University service offered to assist UT students with any personal concerns they might have so that they can meet the daily challenges of student life.

The Learning Skills Center offers programs to help UT students increase their efficiency in college-level math, science, writing, reading, and learning strategies.

The Undergraduate Writing Center is a component of the Division of Rhetoric and Composition in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. It is composed of experienced graduate and undergraduate students specially trained to provide professional advice on all aspects of writing to UT undergraduates on a drop-in basis or by appointment. It is located at FAC 211.

The University offers a number of Career Services to assist students with deciding on and/or obtaining experience in their chosen careers.
