Endowed Graduate Fellowships

These Graduate Fellowship endowments have been established to benefit students pursuing graduate degrees (i.e., MS or Ph.D.) in a pharmacy. To apply, graduate students should contact their respective Division Offices for more information. The College of Pharmacy Financial Aid Committee, upon recommendations from the Division Offices, selects recipients.

American Pharmacies Fellowship
Established by American Pharmacies in 2006 to support graduate research in independent pharmacy practice.

Max and Mary Anne Burlage
Established by faculty, colleagues, and friends to honor former Dr. Henry Matthew "Max" Burlage, who served as dean of the College of Pharmacy from 1947-1962 to benefit graduate students in the field of Pharmaceutics.

Jamie N. Delgado Endowed Graduate Fellowship
Established by David B. Garcia in honor of College of Pharmacy faculty member Dr. Jaime N. Delgado to benefit graduate students in the basic pharmaceutical sciences.

Jaime N. Delgado Endowed Graduate Fellowship in Medicinal Chemistry
Established by David B. Garcia for graduate students focusing on Medicinal Chemistry.

Josefina Falcon Graduate Fellowship Fund
This fellowship was established by the estate of Josefina Falcon in 2008. Recipients are restricted to students with an undergraduate degree in pharmacy. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and a Texas resident for 150 days prior to enrollment, have graduated from a Texas high school within 170 miles of Hebbronville, Texas to include the cities of Laredo, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, and San Antonio. Students should be selected on academic merit by the College of Pharmacy and may reapply for the scholarship.

Johnson & Johnson
Established by Johnson & Johnson, New Brunswick, New Jersey to benefit graduate students.

Dr. Bill and Jill Williams and Dr. Jim and Kitty McGinity Graduate Fellowship
Established in 2008 by Dr. and Mrs. Bill Williams and Dr. and Mrs. Jim McGinity this fellowship shall be used to support graduate students enrolled in the Pharmaceutics Program under the mentorship of a full-time Pharmaceutics faculty member in the College of Pharmacy.

Schering-Plough Research Institute Graduate Fellowship
Established by the Schering-Plough Research Institute in Kenilworth, New Jersey.

Dr. Robert J. Wills Graduate Fellowship Endowment
Established in 2005 by Dr. Robert Wills to support graduate students.

Dr. Feng Zhang and Dr. James McGinity Graduate Fellowship
Established in 2008 by Dr. Feng Zhang and Dr. Jim McGinity Funds shall be used to support graduate students enrolled in the Pharmaceutics Program under the mentorship of a full-time Pharmaceutics faculty member.
