Hispanic Association of Pharmacists

Mission

To promote unity among pharmacy students with common interest, values, and backgrounds; thus, to support one another and the profession in general.

To strive for excellent scholarship via peer tutoring and counseling concerning academic problems.

To exchange information regarding professional career opportunities and/or postgraduate education.

To conduct fundraising activities to provide scholarship for members and contributions to projects sponsored by the organization.

To organize education programs regarding contemporary political issues affecting the practice of pharmacy and health care delivery systems.

To participate in community services involving health care education.

To assist in the recruitment and retention of qualified students, mainly serving as role models to high school and pre-pharmacy students.

To provide a center for the exchange and/or loaning textbooks, journals, articles, and other professional literature.

To support the College of Pharmacy in every way possible; to promote its academic excellence and public relations.

To celebrate the foregoing objectives as actual accomplishments, some social function should be in order either annually or every semester.
