I. Elections - officers for next semester are:

  4. chair positions will be decided next semester

II. Professional Development & Service

  1. Celebrating Research Achievement Day

  2. Student Interviews
    1. please sign-up and attend if you can
  3. Latino Leadership Council
    1. meetings on Mon. in the SSB MIC at 6 pm
    2. LLC Rep?   if you'd like to run for this position, e-mail Nick ( nforcade@mail.utexas.edu )   and he'll give you details
  4. Fundraising
    1. all of the organizations in the COP will be having a fundraiser on Thurs., May 3 rd from 12:30 - 2:00 so come support MAAPS!
  5. Historians
    1. Mariel and Jackie are making an end of the year scrapbook so send pictures to either of them by the end of April.

        • Buffet from 5-8, then the fight? (we'll see)
        • this is being sponsored by the administrators on the 5 th floor so please thank Diane Ginsburg if you see her

      3. End of Year Party - Toga, Toga , Toga!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        • theme: toga party (as if you couldn't already tell)

        • time: whenever you get there!
        • if you are free the 14 th , please go to Rudy's and help him make beverages
    4. Guest Speaker
      1. Mrs. Sifuentes talked about one of the clinics in Austin and how they help working people who don't have healthcare insurance
      2. She talked about a volunteer opportunity in which MAAPS can have a part in.   She needs fluent and fairly fluent Spanish speakers to sign up.
      3. If you signed up, please remember that the immunization event is on August 18 th , so make plans to be in Austin
