NCPA Meeting Minutes - 9/06/06

1. Showcase
   We had a great turnout and everybody enjoyed our guest speakers. Special thanks to Michelle for her hard work in putting together this event and to members who helped out with food and drinks!
   
2. Annual Meeting in Las Vegas
   We had a wonderful experience at the Annual Meeting. Our chapter brought 26 members to the meeting, and we had the opportunity to network with students and independent pharmacists from around the nation. If you have pictures of the Annual Meeting in Las Vegas, please email them or place them on a CD and hand it to Danielle (drb965@mail.utexas.edu) so that we can put together a photo album.
   
3. Community Service
   We have several programs lined up for the next few weeks.
   Longhorn Halloween
   We are on the waiting list for Longhorn Halloween, and we’ll be doing face painting. We’ll email members on confirmation for the event.
   Men’s Health
   We will be having a patient booth on Men’s Health in front of Gregory Gym from 10 AM to 2 PM on Thursday, October 26th during Pharmacy Week.
   Race for the Cure
   This event will take place on Sunday, November 5th. Email Heather Miller if you are interested (heathernm@mail.utexas.edu). Registration is $25 and here’s the link for online registration: http://www.komenaustin.org/.



4. Fundraising
   We had our fundraising sale this past Wednesday, October 18th. Our next fundraising event will be on Parent’s Day. Stay tune for more emails on Parent’s Day this weekend.
   
5. Alumni Tailgate
   The Alumni Tailgate will be held at the College of Pharmacy on November 4th. NCPA will be having a fundraising booth, and if you have any ideas, please email them to Kasey (kmbartlett@mail.utexas.edu), our Fundraising Chair. Admission for the Alumni Tailgate is $10, but if you are going to volunteer for NCPA, it will be free.



6. PCCA Compounding Boot Camp
   PCCA will be having Boot Camp on December 18th-19th in Houston, TX. If you have PCCA membership, the cost of attending the Boot Camp is $150.
