I.       Roll Call - please see attached document for roll call information

  1. I will be sending out another email with proposed changes for the offices once I receive a soft-copy. Cleanup for all organizaitons has been scheduled for Monday, August 7 at 4:00PM. Please make sure you have cleaned your office before then so the move goes smoothly. I will also send out an email with an attachment of all the organizations' meeting times this next school year, as discussed with several of you today. As soon as I receive these documents, I will send them out. Thanks!

    3. Organizations interested in locker sales --> drew from hat and picked SNPhA
    4. Dilemma with Friday organization meetings
      1. This has decreased meeting attendance
      2. Looking at doubling up organization meetings on other days and eliminate Friday meetings
    5. Dean's office is in final phase of budget development -- Diane needs your organization's trip information to finalize budget and organize stipends ASAP please
    6. Strict 3-week limit on all paperwork submitted to office for organization trips
      1. All students must hold frim to this, no exceptions
    7. Budgets due at beginning of August

    1. Code of Conduct -- revised copy has been sent out and is being finalized
    2. Letters for Bulletin boards -- example letters shown and approved
      1. Kay is checking into cost of letters for bulletin boards
        1. All will be burnt orange -- need student help to paint
          • - Either burnt orange or burnt orange outlined in white
        2. All will be 3-4 inches in height
          • -Plan is for all letters to be purchased, painted, and installed soon and for all bulletin boards to be updated once letters are up before new student orientation (August 28)
        3. As far as mailboxes -- estimatees were sent out, waiting on budget reports
    3. Career Day and some questions from employers
      1. Employers want to know what students want to get out of Career Day -- send suggestions to Diane
        1. Example suggestions posed: list of companies coming to event, company bios, suggestions for new companies to attend, letting companies know they will be talking with P1 thru P4 students

      2. Reps will get info. regarding schedule, please verify presentation timese with NSO chairs (marybel and John Andrade)
      3. Formal white coat ceremony -- invites sent out, need help from students on committee for Monday, August 28th 4:00PM
      4. Organization reps -- please send any pics you would like featured in the "Wanted Posters" to introduce yourselves to new students
    13. Pharmacy Month Update: tentative schedule offered, feedback received from students
      1. Week 1: speaker during UTSSHP meeting re. Pharmacy for Kids (Oct.5)
        1. Poison control presentation for kindergarten classes in Austin area (KE, UTSSHP)
      2. Week 2: speaker during KE & PDC meetings re. Pharmacy for Adults (Oct. 11)
        1. Ice cream social sometime this week
      3. Week 3: speaker during Rho Chi meeting re. Pharmacy for the Elderly (Oct. 18)
        1. Diabetes management Workshop sometimes this week
      4. Week 4: Health Information Booth in front of Gregory Gym for different organzations
        1. Bowling social on Friday night for students and parents in Union with catering
        2. Suggestions: maybe have a table outside the Pharmacy school talking about Pharmacy month and what career pharmacists do
