Pharmacy Council
Committee Applications & Descriptions
Committee Selection Process
College-wide Standing Committees
Applications for College-wide Standing Committees are first sent out in mid-April in order to seek out members for the following academic year. Positions with willing candidates are filled based on each application essay after review and recommendation from the Student Affairs Chair. Mid-summer, applications are sent out again in order to fill remaining open positions. Committees including P1 positions are filled early in the fall semester. The Pharmacy Council Executive Committee and the Dean of Student Affairs review and approve all recommendations made by the Student Affairs Chair. Recommendations are sent to the Dean and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for final approval. Students serving on College-wide committees are notified of their appointment by the chairs of the respective committees.
Student Affairs Committee
The Student Affairs Chair sends out applications for this committee each September. The application allows each candidate to describe his or her qualifications and interest in serving on the committee. The Student Affairs Chair selects at least 3 applicants to recommend from each class (P1, P2, and P3). The Pharmacy Council Executive Committee and the Dean of Student Affairs review and approve all recommendations made by the Student Affairs Chair. Students serving on the Student Affairs Committee are notified of their appointment by the Student Affairs Chair.
Pharmacy Council Committee Chairs
Applications for Pharmacy Council Committee Chairs are sent out on the last week of February and are due on the second week of March. Positions with willing candidates are filled based on each application essay after review from the Pharmacy Council Executive Committee. Committee Chairs will be announced at the next Pharmacy Council general meeting.
