Student Affairs Committee
The Student Affairs Chair sends out applications for this committee each September. The application allows each candidate to describe his or her qualifications and interest in serving on the committee. The Student Affairs Chair selects at least 3 applicants to recommend from each class (P1, P2, and P3). The Pharmacy Council Executive Committee and the Dean of Student Affairs review and approve all recommendations made by the Student Affairs Chair. Students serving on the Student Affairs Committee are notified of their appointment by the Student Affairs Chair.
The purpose of the Student Affairs Committee is to allow selected representatives of each class to have a discussion with the Dean – and many Assistant Deans – of the College of Pharmacy regarding student life or academic issues. The Student Affairs Committee shall meet with the dean one time each semester, toward the end of the semester. The student representatives shall get input from their class and bring current issues, research and possible solutions to monthly planning meetings.Membership
