UTSSHP is an organization concerned with increasing the knowledge of fellow students about careers and trends in health-system pharmacy practice. It is an organization that supports and promotes the responsible provision of pharmaceutical care in a patient-focused manner with intentions of achieving positive patient outcomes. This organization is committed to enriching the leadership skills and organizational involvement of interested members.

What is UTSSHP?

The University of Texas Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists has over 100 members who are all pharmacy students enrolled in the University of Texas College of Pharmacy. We are an affiliated chapter of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, ASHP, a 30,000+ member national organization of pharmacists from diverse workplaces in the profession of pharmacy. We are also affiliated with the state level organization, the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, TSHP, and the local Austin Society of Health-System Pharmacists, AASHP.
