Pharmacy Week


Co-chairs and members of Pharmacy Week are in charge of selecting a health-related topic to present at the booth reserved for UTSSHP at the West Mall during Pharmacy Week. Our new educational topic this year is on contraception, which is very fitting for the student population at the university campus. With the help of sexual health peer educators and a pharmacist preceptor, UTSSHP will educate the student population on contraceptive methods, risks of sexual transmitted diseases from unprotected sex, and other contraceptive myths and questions. In addition, another purpose of our presentation is to make students aware that the University Health Services at the Student Services Buildings provides health promotion and sexual health educational services for students' individual needs.

This year, our Pharmacy Week booth will be located in front of the Gregory Gym on Thursday October 27th from 11 am to 3 pm. For more information on the services offered by the University Health Services, please visit its website at www.utexas.edu/student/health .
