Occurred between 7-18-01 at 8:30 a.m. and 7-20-01 at 10:00 a.m.

Theft: A red Nokia 8260 cellular phone was taken from a third floor office. Loss value: $60.00.

Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Building, 200 East Dean Keeton

Occurred between 7-27-01 at 5:00 p.m. and 8-2-01 at 7:30 a.m.

Theft: A 16" silver rope style necklace was taken from a first floor office. Loss value: $ 25.00.

Parking Garage #1, 2420 San Antonio

Occurred between 6-30-01 at 5:00 p.m. and 8-3-01 at 7:00 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A vehicle was scratched on the third or fourth level of the garage. Damage value: $50.00.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, 2504 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 8-4-01 at 1:16 a.m.

Criminal Trespass Warning: Three non-UT subjects were issued criminal trespass warnings after they were found in violation of campus policy.

UA9, 2609 University Avenue

Occurred on 8-4-01 at 1:25 p.m.

Theft: A 16" gold necklace and some cash were stolen from a restroom inside the building.

LBJ Fountain, 2305 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 8-4-01 at 7:49 p.m.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject and a UT subject were issued criminal trespass warnings after being found in violation of campus policy.

McCombs School of Business, 2100 Speedway

Occurred on 8-4-01 at 11:21 p.m.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was issued a criminal trespass warning after being found in violation of campus policy.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Discovered 8-6-01 at 3:25 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: Yellow chalk graffiti was found on the south side stairs leading to the building. Damage value: $25.00.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred 8-6-01 3:45 a.m.

Suspicious Activity: Three subjects, not residents of Kinsolving, attempted to enter the dorm without permission.

The University Police Department has been receiving over the past six years and has alerted federal authorities of an e-mail scam involving transfer of funds from Nigerian or African banks. If you should receive an e-mail of this type, do not respond or reply back to the e-mail. Please be aware that we are currently acting on reports already filed. No further action is necessary, but a copy of the e-mail may be faxed to 471-7505.
