Colorado Building, 701 Colorado

Occurred on 4-8-02 at 1:45 a.m.

Suspicious Person: A non-UT subject was observed hanging out in a doorway of the Colorado Building.

Graduate School of Business, 100 West 21st Street

Occurred on 4-7-02 between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Theft: A black Nokia cellular telephone was stolen from the 3rd floor Atrium after being left unsecured. Loss value $50.00.

Music Building East, 2405 Trinity

Occurred between 4-2-02 at 5:00 p.m. and 4-3-02 at 9:00 a.m.

Theft: An Apple iBook laptop computer, model M6497 was stolen from an unsecured cart which was left outside a third floor computer lab. Loss value $1,237.00.

Paisano Ranch House, 11535 Raw Hide Trail

Occurred on 4-8-02 at 7:00 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: Loud music was heard coming from the west end of the property. No one was found on the property.

Parking Lot 103, 2100 Block Comal Street

Occurred between 3-25-02 at 8:00 a.m. and 3-28-02 at 7:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The front passenger window of a red 1993 Honda Civic was found broken out. Stolen from the vehicle was a Pioneer in-dash AM/FM/CD player, approx. 80 compact disks by various artists, a green/black nylon bag containing clothes and the factory AM/FM cassette player. Loss value $455.00.

Parking Lot 115, 1600 East 20th Street

Occurred on 4-9-02 at 3:40 a.m.

Suspicious Activity: A UT student was found sleeping inside a green 1995 Dodge truck. Subject stated he had driven in from San Antonio and was tired.

Physical Plant, 1500 Manor Road

Occurred on 4-8-02 at 1:00 p.m.

Theft of Service: An unknown subject was observed washing a white Toyota extended cab truck at the UT car wash. When confronted by Physical Plant employees the subject became argumentative when questioned about the vehicle since it was not displaying any State seal. Subject left the area. Subject is described as: Black male, 6'0" 200 lbs., and was last seen wearing black pants with mud on the legs and a blue shirt. Loss value $7.00.

Simkins Hall Dormitory, 2501 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred between 4-4-02 at 12:01 p.m. and 4-8-02 at 8:30 a.m.

Theft / Criminal Mischief: Two shower curtains were stolen from a first floor men's restroom and a door to a toilet stall was removed from its hinges. Loss value $100.00.
