Ashbel Smith Hall, 201 West 7th Street

Occurred on 4-3-02 at 4:40 p.m.

Suspicious Person: A non-UT subject was found wandering around the 3rd and 4th floor of the building. When stopped by UTPD, subject became combative and argumentative. Subject was attempting to locate a UT employee who he had briefly met on 6th Street. Subject was given a verbal criminal trespass warning. Subject was a white male, 5'10", 145 pounds, 64 years of age, gray hair and brown eyes. The UT employee he was looking for, later stated that the subject has been trying to locate her in the building on more than one occasion since January 2002. The employee does not want to have any contact with the subject.

Parking Garage 3, 200 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 4-9-02 between 8:45 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

Theft: The rear license plate and a University of Texas Longhorn license plate bracket was stolen off of a 1994 silver Mazda that was parked in the middle section of level 4. Loss value: $65.00.

Parking Lot 80, 1900 Red River

Occurred on 4-10-02 between 9:30 a.m. and 1:05 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: The right side window was broken out of a white 1999 Ford Ranger pickup truck. Repair cost: $200.00.

2500 Red River

Occurred between 4-9-02 at 11:55 p.m. and 4-10-02 at 8:15 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right front window was broken out of a green 1996 Toyota Corolla. The in-dash CD player was partly removed. Approximately 20 CDs and a metallic silver CD case with a chain mail pattern with a black triangle on the front were stolen. Loss value: $75.00. Repair cost: $300.00.

Townes Hall, 727 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 4-10-02 at 9:28 a.m.

Suspicious Person: An unknown subject was seen loitering near 2.114. Subject fit the description of the offender involved in recent indecent exposure incidents within the building that usually occur between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm. Subject was described as a black male, 20 to 30 years of age, 5'8" to 5'10", short hair or bald, diamond or white stone earring in left ear lobe, wearing black sweat pants or shorts with t-shirt.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Occurred on 4-10-02 at 2:20 p.m.

Suspicious Person: An unknown vagrant type subject was found loitering in the building and became hostile, argumentative and initially refused to leave when asked to do so by staff. Subject left the building before UTPD officers arrived. Subject was described as a white male, 50 years of age, 5'10", medium build, long dirty brown/gray hair, beard, wearing a blue jean jacket and blue jean pants.
