Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Occurred on 4-13-02 at 10:10 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping under a black trash bag on the 3rd floor. Subject was issued a criminal trespass warning.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Occurred on 4-13-02 at 4:40 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A UT-student and a non-UT subject were reported to be loitering in the 1st floor men's restroom. Both subjects had stated they had entered the building to get a drink of water. Criminal trespass warnings were issued to both subjects.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2100 Speedway

Occurred on 4-11-02 at 10:20 a.m.

Theft: A UT-student approached Rec. Sports staff and claimed a Sony compact disk player that had been turned in and was later reported stolen by the owner. The subject had given a false name when claiming the property and was positively identified by a former high school classmate. Loss value $30.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, Kinsolving and Moore-Hill Dormitories

Occurred on 4-14-02 between 5:30 a.m. and 6:25 a.m.

Harassing Communications (Criminal Episode): A male called several rooms located in various dormitories on campus. The caller would state he was at either the Jester or Kinsolving main desk and that he had received a noise complaint. He would then demand the social security number of the resident inside the room in order for him to write his report. After obtaining their social security number he would then ask if the resident had any credit cards issued to them.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street

Occurred on 4-11-02 between 8:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

Theft: A black Guess tri-fold canvas wallet containing a Texas driver's license, credit cards, social security card, along with a Biology textbook were stolen from a 1st floor study lounge after being left unattended. Loss value $75.00.

LONGHORN DINING FACILITY, 205 East 21st Street

Occurred on 4-12-02 at 3:15 p.m.

Attempted Theft: A UT-staff member was observed bent over going through a purse that had been left unattended inside a first floor office. Subject stated he was looking for his time card.

Parking Lot 80, 1900 Block of Red River

Occurred on 4-12-02 at 3:42 p.m.

Attempted Theft of Motor Vehicle: A non-UT subject was observed attempting to steal a blue 1989 Chevrolet Blazer located in the southeast portion of the lot.

Parking Lot 102, 2200 Block Comal Street

Occurred on 4-14-02 at 8:45 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: A non-UT subject was observed loitering in the lot next to a dumpster that contained spools of copper wire. Subject stated he was doing free lance work for UT and was found to be in possession of an unauthorized UT key for the Printing and Press Building.

Parking Lot 117, 1900 Block Comal Street

Occurred on 4-12-02 4:10 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were observed inside a parked vehicle in the northeast portion of the lot. Both were moving around in the front seat as if undressing. Both denied any involvement in prostitution however the passenger did change her story and admitted that she was attempting to solicit sex for money.

Printing and Press Building, 2100 Comal Street

Occurred 4-12-02 at 4:12 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: A UT-staff member was observed loading shipping pallets into his personal vehicle.

Simkins Hall Dormitory, 2500 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 4-12-02 at 8:45 p.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT-student, under the legal age of 21, was found unconscious in the northwest stairwell due to alcohol poisoning. Subject was dressed only in boxer shorts and sandals. Subject had been painted blue on his chest, biceps and back.

Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center, 1900 Red River

Occurred between 4-13-02 at 4:45 a.m. and 4-15-02 at 2:04 a.m.

Graffiti: Gang-style graffiti was found written in white paint on the handrail located on the first level southeast portion of the building. Loss value $100.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred between 4-14-02 at 4:00 a.m. and 4-15-02 at 2:45 a.m.

Graffiti: Gang-style graffiti was found written in gray paint on a wall inside the second floor men's restroom middle stall. Loss value $100.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 4-12-02 between 2:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

Graffiti: Gang-style graffiti was found written on several walls and inside each stall of a second floor men's restroom. Loss value $200.00.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 4-14-02 at 11:30 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the east side of the creek in the middle of a large growth of Georgia Cane. Subject was issued a criminal trespass warning.

300 block East 24th Street

Occurred on 4-13-02 at 1:30 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT-student, under the legal age of 21, was observed staggering and having difficulty maintaining his balance while walking along the sidewalk. When stopped it was determined that the subject was under the influence of alcohol.

4030 West Braker Lane

Occurred between 4-11-02 at 4:45 p.m. and 4-12-02 at 9:15 a.m.

Theft: A gray Sony Viao PCG-28 laptop computer and a black IBM Thinkpad were stolen from an unsecured second floor office after being left unattended. Loss $1,800.00.

2300 block Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 4-14-02 at 12:05 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was observed staggering along the sidewalk looking for his vehicle. Subject was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

300 block West Inner Campus Drive

Occurred on 4-14-02 at 2:50 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A UT-student was observed falling into tables and using the side of a building for support while attempting to walk home. Subject was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
