Hal C. Weaver Power Plant Annex, 301 East 24th Street

Occurred between 4-10-02 at 12:01 p.m. and 4-11-02 at 6:50 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: The right front tire was punctured on a white 1991 UT van that was parked on the north side of the building in a UT vehicle parking space. Repair cost: $80.00.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 4-15-02 at 1:40 p.m.

Assault With Bodily Injury: A UT student assaulted another UT student on the 10th floor that resulted in multiple facial injuries being sustained by one subject.

Occurred on 4-15-02 at 8:00 p.m.

Failure to Identify / Assist An Outside Agency / Possession Of Controlled Substance: A non-UT subject was stopped by UTPD when observed loitering for an extended period of time in the bicycle racks on the northwest side of the building. Subject gave a fictitious name. Subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency theft warrant. Subject was found in possession of a controlled substance.

Parking Lot 51, 2600 University Avenue

Occurred between 4-14-02 at 10:00 p.m. and 4-15-02 at 7:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: Boot prints and dents were found on the hood and roof of a 1998 Toyota that was parked on the north side of the Parking Lot. Repair cost: $1,000.00.

2500 Red River

Occurred between 4-14-02 at 11:00 p.m. and 4-15-02 at 11:08 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: The right front vent window was broken out of a pink and white 1968 Volkswagen Beetle that was parked along the east curbline. Repair value: $100.00.

2400 Speedway

Occurred on 4-15-02 between 10:15 p.m. and 11:37 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: A tree twig was jammed into the right front door locking mechanism of a 1992 white Nissan Stanza that was parked along the east curbline.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 4-15-02 between 3:00 p.m. and 3:25 p.m.

Theft: A UT-student placed her backpack by her feet and went to sleep on a couch in the 3rd floor Loggia. When she woke up she found that the backpack had been stolen. The backpack was described as a navy blue Jansport with a leather bottom. The backpack contained a white South Padre Island key chain with keys, a 3" Nokia cellular telephone, assorted credit cards, assorted identification, cash, small orange clipboard, green 1" binder, black shorts and a t-shirt with US flag. Loss value: $70.00.

100 East 21ST, Pedestrian Bridge

Occurred between 4-11-02 at 10:00 p.m. and 4-12-02 at 11:59 a.m.

Theft: A banner was stolen after it was hung from the east side of the pedestrian bridge. The 30'x4' banner was orange and white and stated "Running Of The Horns." Loss value: $250.00.
