Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found putting multiple bags of garbage into a dumpster by building N. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
COMMUNICATION BUILDING B, 2504B Whitis Avenue
Occurred between 5-21-02 and 5-24-02 at 11:00 a.m.
Theft: A 512MB computer memory chip was stolen from a G4 Apple computer that was located in a fourth floor computer lab. The lock on the computer cabinet was not secured during the period of the theft. Loss value: $100.00.
J. J. PICKLE RESEARCH CAMPUS BUILDING 19, 10100 Burnet Road
Occurred on 5-26-02 between 3:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: The air was let out of two tires on a 1995 green Ford Explorer that was parked outside of the gate, south of the building. A blue and white paintball grenade was also detonated on top of the car. Repair cost: $10.00.
Lavaca Building, 220 West 7th Street
Occurred on 5-28-02 at 630 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the west side of the building. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Nursing School, 1710 Red River
Occurred on 5-24-0 at 11:45 a.m.
Assault / Possession of a Controlled Substance / Assist An Outside Agency: A UT Police staff member observed a non-UT male subject, on the south side of the building, violently pushing and pulling on a non-UT female which caused the female to fall down. It was determined that the subjects were married. The male subject used threatening, abusive, and profane language toward his spouse and UT Police. Subject was found in possession of a controlled substance. Subject was also found to have an outstanding non-criminal outside agency arrest warrant.
Parking Garage #2, 2420 San Antonio
Occurred on 5-26-02 at 5:00 a.m.
Possession of a Controlled Substance / Possession Narcotic Paraphernalia: UT Police observed two non-UT subjects on a motorcycle enter the parking garage illegally by driving on the sidewalk. Subjects then drove to the top level of the garage. When approached by UT Police, one subject dropped some narcotic paraphernalia. The second subject was found in possession of a controlled substance.
Parking Garage #4, 109 West 27th Street
Occurred on 5-26-02 at 2:40 a.m.
Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was found on the northeast side of the building under the influence of alcohol to the point he was an endangerment to himself.
Parking Garage #5, 2017 Robert Dedman Drive
Occurred between 5-18-02 and 5-25-02 at 4:00 p.m.
Leaving the Scene Collision: An unknown vehicle struck a 1997 gray two-door Acura that was parked on level four by the elevators. The unknown vehicle left the scene without giving notice. Damage consisted of a six foot by four inch by 3 inch dent from the driver's door back to the rear fender. Repair cost: $800.00.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Reported on 5-25-02.
Theft: A non-UT subject, who was an immigrant, was approached by an unknown subject at the Texaco service station at Martin Luther King and Chicon. The unknown subject promised to hire the immigrant at UT and they were to meet at the Union. When the immigrant arrived at the Union, the unknown subject stated that he needed a $135.00 uniform deposit. After receiving the money the subject left and never returned. Subject was described as a Hispanic male, 50 to 60 years of age, 5' to 5'2", very thin build, short salt and pepper colored hair, light mustache. Subject was last seen wearing a short sleeve button-down shirt and blue jeans.
Wooldridge Hall, 600 West 24th Street
Occurred on 5-25-02 at 12:41 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found camping on the west side of the building. Subject was given a written criminal trespass warning.
2300 Robert Dedman Drive
Occurred on 5-25-02 at 3:20 p.m.
Unlawful Carrying of Weapon (Club): A non-UT school bus driver was identified as the owner of a wooden weighted baton that was observed by UT Police on the dash in front of the driver's seat of a yellow school bus that was parked along the west curbline.
