Brackenridge Apartments, 3567 Lake Austin Blvd.
Occurred on 5-29-02 at 9:46 p.m.
Suspicious Person: An unknown subject was reported to be sitting on a picnic table adjacent to building 3567. Subject was making lascivious remarks toward women that were walking by. Subject appeared to be drunk due to his slurred speech. Subject was described as a white male, 30 years of age, medium build with long sandy blond hair.
Harry Ransom Center, 300 West 21st Street
Occurred on 5-30-02 1:28 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in the fenced-in construction site. Subject was seen picking up a metal pipe. The subject, who was identified as a transient, stated that he needed the metal pipe to defend himself because another transient had threatened to kill him. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Robert Lee Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway
Occurred between 2-1-02 at 8:00 a.m. and 5-29-02 at 3:00 p.m.
Theft: A red 18-speed Roadmaster bicycle with front shocks was stolen from the west side of the building. The bicycle had been secured to a construction fence. Loss value: $75.00.
Waller Creek, 2300 San Jacinto Blvd.
Occurred between 5-28-02 at 7:00 a.m. and 5-29-02 at 8:15 a.m.
Cruelty to Animals: Three dead raccoons were found on the east bank of the creek. Two of the animals had fractured skulls indicating the possible use of a slingshot. Near the area an unknown person or persons had left a considerable amount of litter which included several empty soft drink cups and bottles that indicated subject or subjects had been at that location for an extended amount of time.
Whitaker Fields, 5100 Guadalupe
Occurred between 5:28-02 at 3:30 p.m. and 5-29-02 8:15 a.m.
Burglary of Coin-Operated Machine: A Coca Cola and a Dasani vending machine were broken into and an unknown amount of coins were stolen from the machines.
