Brackenridge Hall Dormitory, 207 East 21st Street

Occurred between 5-22-02 at 9:18 a.m. and 5-31-02 at 1:15 p.m.

Graffiti: Phrases written in black magic marker were found inside a secured ground floor machine room. Removal cost: $100.00.

Colorado Apartments, 2501 Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred between 5-31-02 at 1:00 a.m. and 6-1-02 at 5:00 p.m.

Theft: A 26 inch yellow Pro Flex mountain bicycle with dual suspension was stolen from outside a second floor apartment. Loss value: $250.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 5-31-02 at 10:55 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject (juvenile) was bowling in his socks after refusing to rent bowling shoes. When asked to leave the subject became angry and spat on the bowling lane and began to use profanity towards the building manager. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 5-30-02 at 2:34 p.m.

Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was sleeping in a third floor area that was reserved for facility, staff and students. Subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency theft warrant.

Robert A. Welch Hall, 105 East 24th Street

Occurred on 5-30-02 between 10:45 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Theft: Two backpacks were stolen when left inside an unsecured third floor office. Backpack #1: Black Jansport containing assorted credit cards, assorted ID and black rim glasses. Backpack content loss value: $116.00. Backpack #2: Tan leather backpack (brand name unknown) containing assorted credit cards, black Nokia cellular telephone, $6.00 cash and assorted IDs. Backpack content loss value: $111.00. Credit cards from both backpacks were used at local merchants before the owners realized their backpacks were stolen.

2000 block Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred between 5-27-02 at 8:30 a.m. and 6-2-02 at 7:40 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right front window of a gray Mazda was broken and a Panasonic AM/FM CD player and a black and gray CD case containing 20 CDs were stolen. The detachable faceplate for the CD AM/FM stereo was stolen from the locked glove box. The trunk release inside the car allowed a speaker tube and amplifier to be stolen from the trunk. Loss value: $470.00. Repair cost: $300.00.
