McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway

Occurred on 6-21-02 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Theft: A black nylon tri-fold wallet was stolen from a purse that had been left in an unsecured desk drawer that was located in an unsecured office on the sixth floor. The wallet contained cash, credit cards and assorted ID's. A subject was seen in the area during the time of the theft. He was described as a white male, 5'9", very thin build, late 20's to early 30's with short brown hair. Subject was last seen wearing a dark gray sports jacket, blue jeans and tan cowboy boots. This description matches a subject seen going through purses in Pharmacy Building on Wednesday 6-19-02. Loss value: $110.00.

McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway

Occurred between 6-20-02 at 5:00 p.m. and 6-21-02 at 9:45 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: The doorknob was broken off of a sixth floor storage closet. Repair cost $100.00.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 6-22-02 at 5:10 p.m.

Criminal Trespass / Assist an Outside Agency: A non-UT subject entered the building illegally by jumping a wall in the lobby. Subject was found by UT Police playing basketball on the second level. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Subject was found to have seven outstanding outside agency warrants. One was for theft and six were for traffic violations.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 6-24-02 at 4:13 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the west side of the building. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Littlefield Fountain, 200 East 21st Street

Discovered on 6-22-02 at 7:28 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: Detergent soap was put in the fountain that resulted in damage to the water pumps. Two empty boxes of Gain laundry detergent were found in a nearby trashcan. Repair cost: $100.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred on 6-22-02 between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Theft: A blue Jansport backpack containing a small brown purse was stolen from an unsecured seventh floor office area. The purse contained cash, credit cards and assorted IDs. The backpack had been left next to the victim's computer which had not been logged off. A check of internet files indicated that several pornographic sites had been visited around 6:30 pm. Loss value: $40.00.

Parking Lot 67, 1900 Speedway

Occurred on 6-20-02 between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Theft: The left front turn signal cover was stolen from a green four-door Nissan. Loss value: $15.00.

Parking Lot 108, 1500 Red River

Occurred on 6-22-02 at 2:20 a.m.

Consumption of Alcohol by Minor: Three subjects were observed by UT Police standing outside a parked vehicle. A fourth subject in the vehicle was leaning out the window while he was regurgitating. This subject was under the age of 21 and had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath amongst other things.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred on 6-24-02 at 3:00 a.m.

Public Intoxication: A non-UT subject was observed by UT Police looking into cars. Subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was an endangerment to himself.

Whitaker Fields, 5100 Guadalupe

Reported on 6-23-02.

Criminal Trespass: Two unknown subjects were seen walking two dogs on the field which is in violation of University regulations. Subjects refused to leave immediately when a staff member told them they could not have the dogs on the field. Subjects had left prior to UTPD officer's arrival. Subject #1 was described as a white male, approximately 35 years of age with salt and pepper medium length hair. Subject was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jean shorts and was walking a older black Labrador retriever. Subject #2 was described as a white female, approximately 35 years of age with long dark hair. Subject was last seen wearing a gray shirt, shorts and was walking a small young white Labrador retriever.

200 East 21st Street

Occurred on 6-23-02 at 12:25 a.m.

Indecent Exposure / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor / Assist an Outside Agency: Three UT students were observed by UT Police standing by the Littlefield Fountain on the top steps leading to the South Mall. Subjects were having their picture taken while they were naked from the waist down with their pants down to their ankles. Two subjects were under the age of 21 and an alcoholic beverage could be smelled on their breath. One subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency theft warrant.
