Occurred on 7-1-02 at 12:01 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: A red 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck was damaged when the driver's door was kicked in. An unidentified UT student observed a black male (no other description) kick the truck's door. Repair cost: $500.00.
Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street
Occurred between 7-1-02 at 11:15 p.m. and 7-2-02 at 4:50 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: Detergent soap was put in the water fountain that is located on the west side of the building that resulted in damage to the water pumps. Repair cost: $100.00.
Ernest Cockrell Jr. Hall, 301 East Dean Keeton
Occurred between 6-28-02 at 8:00 a.m. and 7-1-02 at 7:30 a.m.
Theft: A white fifty pound 1'x 3'x 1' Bose, Model 502 subwoofer speaker was stolen from an unsecured first floor classroom. A one-fourth inch steel cable that secured the speaker to a fixed object had been cut. Loss value: $500.00.
Lavaca Building, 220 West 7th Street
Occurred on 7-2-02 at 1:34 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were found camping on the west side of the building. Both were issued written criminal trespass warnings.
Brackenridge Apartments, 3400 Lake Austin Blvd.
Occurred between 6-30-02 at 8:30 p.m. and 7-1-02 at 2:00 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: The double doors to the laundry room were damaged by removing the weather stripping from both doors, denting the metal bottom of the west door, and cracking the glass in the west door. A black felt pen was used to write phrases on a white table inside the laundry. Repair cost: $300.00.
