Calhoun Hall, #4 South Mall

Occurred on 7-11-02 at 2:22 a.m.

Criminal Trespass / Assist an Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found inside a fifth floor office, singing while working on a computer. Subject was found in possession of a UT building key that was not issued to him. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. Subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency traffic warrant.

Dean Keeton at University Avenue

Occurred between 7-9-02 1:15 p.m. and 7-10-02 7:30 a.m.

Burglary: A University coffee kiosk located on the northeast corner of the intersection was burglarized. Cabinets within the kiosk were broken into. Coins and assorted items were stolen. Loss value: $31.00. Repair cost: $80.00.

Speedway at 24th Street

Occurred between 7-5-02 at 12:30 p.m. and 7-8-02 at 8:30 a.m.

Burglary: A University coffee kiosk located on the northeast corner of the intersection was burglarized. A cabinet drawer was pried open. Cash and coins were stolen. Loss value: $30.00. Repair cost: $20.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Discovered on 7-10-02 at 4:20 p.m.

Theft: A black Meridian 8004 touch-tone wall mounted telephone was stolen from the fourth floor's south hallway. Loss value: $100.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 7-11-02 at 3:25 a.m.

Harassing Communication / Public Intoxication: A UT staff member was found to be making harassing telephone calls from a second floor office. Subject was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was an endangerment to himself.

Whitaker Fields, 5100 Guadalupe

Occurred on 7-10-02 at 9:50 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: Four non-UT subjects ( 2 Adults and 2 Juveniles) were found in the archery range section of the field. They were found to be in possession of mortar type fireworks and a launcher. While officers were talking to the group, one mortar round that had been fired before officers arrived, detonated approximately 50 feet from the officers. One of the adults exclaimed they "thought it was a dud." Written criminal trespass warnings were issued.
