Occurred between 7-24-02 at 5:30 p.m. and 7-25-02 at 5:30 p.m.
Theft: Two green fiberglass ladders (six foot and eight foot) were stolen from an unsecured basement area that is currently under construction. The ladders were secured to each other with an eight-foot chain and padlock. Loss value: $430.00.
Art Building, 2301 San Jacinto Blvd.
Occurred on 8-6-02 between 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: Blue paint was used to write several statements and words that contained abusive and profane language on a wall in a second floor workshop. Several puncture holes were also made in the wall and a screwdriver was left in one of the puncture holes. Repair cost: $100.00.
Recreational Sports Center, 2001 San Jacinto Blvd.
Occurred on 8-6-02 at 7:20 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found inside the building in violation of a prior written criminal trespass warning. Subject, as in the past, had gotten several people (male and female) to help him "warm up" by going through a stretching routine that usually lasts from ten to fifteen minutes. The "warm up" routine involved various parts of their bodies coming in contact with each other. After one person would leave after helping him "warm up", he would stop another subject.
Robert Lee Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway
Occurred on 8-6-02 between 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Theft: A dark brown Eagle Creek backpack was stolen from an unsecured 16th floor office. The backpack contacted assorted papers, credit cards, a checkbook, passport, personal identification and $500.00 in Australian currency.
