Development Office Building, 2901 North IH-35

Discovered on 8-7-02 at 8:45 a.m.

Breach of Computer Security: On 8-2-02 a computer, located in a secured first floor office, was used to gain unauthorized access to a UT computer system. After initial incident the keyboard and mouse were locked up after business hours. On 8-7-02 at 8:45 am it was discovered that the computer had been turned on but access was not gained due to the lack of a keyboard and mouse.

Goldsmith Hall, #5 West Mall

Occurred between 8-7-02 at 10:00 p.m. and 8-8-02 at 2:25 a.m.

Theft: A ten-dollar bill was stolen from a purse that was left in an unsecured first floor room.

Mezes Hall, #5 South Mall

Discovered on 8-7-02 at 3:37 p.m.

Burglary of Coin-Operated Machine: A snack machine, located by the first floor southeast exterior door, was burglarized. The display glass was broken out and all the produce was stolen along with all the money in the coin box. Loss: Undetermined at this time.

Parking Garage 2, 2401 San Jacinto Blvd.

Discovered on 8-7-02 at 4:20 p.m.

Graffiti: White and silver permanent felt markers were used to write numerous words and letters on all the exposed sides of an industrial motor control panel that is located on the southwest corner of the garage. Removal cost: $100.00.

Parking Garage 2, 2401 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 8-8-02 at 1:15 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found rummaging through a trashcan on the ground floor. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Occurred on 8-7-02 at 3:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass / Evading: Eight male subjects were observed skateboarding on the east steps. All the subjects fled when UT Police approached them. Only three non-UT subjects (2 adults, 1 juvenile) were eventually detained.

1900 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 8-7-02 at 7:10 p.m.

Suspicious Activity: A non-UT subject was observed walking back and forth along the west curbline, stepping on and off the curb, looking into car windows.
