Animal Resources Center, 2701 Speedway

Occurred on 8-9-02 between 1:15 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Theft: Money was stolen from a wallet that was left in a pair of pants that were on a clothing hook in an unsecured first floor men's locker room. Loss value: $262.00.

Parking Garage 4, 109 West 27th Street

Occurred on 8-9-02 between 4:00 a.m. and 4:50 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: A right rear sliding glass window was broken out of a green Dodge pickup while it was parked on level four. Repair cost: $150.00.

Red and Charline McCombs Field, 2001 Comal Street

Occurred on 8-11-02 at 7:40 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT male juvenile was observed by UT Police skateboarding down the southwest steps in violation of Parking and Transportation Regulations. While talking to the juvenile subject, officer was approached by the juvenile's mother who became irate and started "yelling" at the officer because her son was not being allowed to skateboard on UT property. The officer explained the liability problems and damage that occurs from skateboarding on the steps. Both were given verbal trespass warnings.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 8-9-02 at 9:00 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found asleep on a third floor couch which is an area reserved for students, faculty and staff. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Whitaker Fields, 5100 Guadalupe

Occurred on 8-10-02 at 6:10 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were found walking their dogs in the archery range portion of the field in violation of Recreational Sport's policy. While walking their dogs, neighborhood residents have repeatedly allowed their animals to leave numerous piles of excrement on the field, creating a health hazard. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Whitaker Fields, 5100 Guadalupe

Occurred on 8-11-02 at 9:00 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects and two UT students were found on the field after it closed. All subjects acknowledged that they knew the field was closed but jumped the fence anyway. All subjects were issued written a criminal trespass warning.

1900 Brazos

Occurred on 8-9-02 at 5:10 p.m.

Assist an Outside Agency: A UT staff member was stopped for a moving traffic violation. It was determined that the subject had an outstanding outside agency alcohol violation arrest warrant.
