Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was found sleeping in an area restricted to faculty and staff only. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 210 East 21st Street

Occurred on 8-28-02 at 9:00 p.m.

Breach of Computer Security: A UT-student reported finding a computer virus attached to an email that he had opened. When he attempted to delete the virus it then spread to all of his other emails. The virus then deleted all of his documents and computer programs. Repair value: $500.00.

Living Learning Center A, 2610 Whitis Ave.

Occurred on 8-29-02 at 12:15 a.m.

Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor: A UT student, under the legal age of 21, was discovered passed out inside a second floor restroom. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was present on the subject's breath.

Parking Garage #2, 2420 San Antonio Street

Occurred on 8-28-02 at 7:00 p.m.

Theft of Service: A non UT subject was observed following a vehicle out of the parking garage pulling into a restaurant Parking Lot and then exiting her vehicle along with another female passenger. The driver agreed to pay the charge and followed the parking attended back to the garage's cashiers station, but turned and left the area before paying. The police located the driver and passenger as they where entering their vehicle. Loss value $3.00.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 8-28-02 at 10:40 p.m.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was found camping out and sleeping on the 5th floor. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 8-28-02 at 11:25 p.m.

Graffiti: Three unknown males were observed spray-painting graffiti on the northwest exterior wall with a can of black spray paint. When observed by the building manager all three subjects left the area walking toward Guadalupe. First subject is described as a Hispanic male, 20 years of age, 5'6", and 120 lbs with short "buzzed" black hair. He was last seen wearing baggy khaki pants and a white t-shirt. Subject was carrying a dark colored backpack and removed a cylinder shaped can. The second subject is described as a Hispanic male, 20 years of age, 5'8" and 150 lbs. with short "buzzed" black hair. He was last seen wearing baggy black pants and a white baseball cap. The third subject is described as a Hispanic male, 20 years of age, 5'8" and approx. 150 lbs. Subject was last seen wearing dark colored clothes but no style was given.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred between 8-7-02 and 8-15-02.

Theft: Twenty three baseball caps, black in color with orange UT Longhorn logos, were stolen from the 2nd level store. Loss value $184.00.

West Mall Office Building, #3 West Mall

Occurred on 8-28-02 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Theft: A black leather purse containing $60.00 in U.S. currency, various credit cards, and ID cards were stolen from a third floor office after being left unsecured. An unknown male was observed "hanging out" in the elevator lobby for a long period of time. Subject is described as a light skinned Hispanic male, 20 years of age, 140 to 150 lbs. and close cropped brown hair. Subject was last seen wearing a grey t-shirt and khaki pants. Loss value $75.00.

200 block West 21st Street

Occurred on 8-28-02 between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Theft: A silver, 21-speed, Everest mountain bicycle was stolen from the bicycle racks located on the north side of the building. Loss value: $200.00.
