Biology Laboratories, 205 West 24th Street
Occurred on 9-4-02 between 3:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Theft: A black Magna 18 speed bicycle, that had been secured with a cable and combination lock, was stolen from a bicycle rack on the west of the building. Loss value: $100.00.

Criminal Mischief: A staff member found several pools of urine around the south entrance door and the south loading dock steps. The Parking Lot adjacent to the south entrance was full of people engaged in "tail gate parties." When the staff member confronted several unidentified "tail gaters," they stated, "They didn't have a clue what the staff member was talking about." Incident occurred on 8-31-02 at approximately 1:30 pm but was not reported to UT Police until 9-4-02 at 3:20 pm. Clean-up cost: $20.00.
Engineering Teaching Center, 204 East Dean Keeton
Occurred on 9-4-02 between 12 noon and 1:00 p.m.
Theft: A Power Mac 7600 central processing computer was stolen out of the back bed of a university owned white 1991 GMC pickup truck. Loss value: $50.00.
Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street
Occurred between 8-31-02 and 9-03-02.
Harassment by Electronic Communication: Several e-mails that were demeaning and derogatory were received in a tenth floor dormitory room.
T. S. Painter Hall, 1203 West 24th Street
Occurred on 9-4-02 between 10:00 a.m. and 10:20 a.m.
Theft: A black backpack with a blue "Planetively" label on the top flap was stolen from a fifth floor laboratory. Backpack contained assorted identification cards and one credit card. Victim immediately contacted the credit card company and was advised that the credit card had already been used four times at area merchants with charges ranging from $85.00 to over $600.00.
Parking Lot 41, 2200 Red River
Occurred on 9-4-02 at 10:20 p.m.
Aggravated Assault / Unlawful Carrying of Weapon / Criminal Trespass: One of three non-UT white male subjects (one was a juvenile) in a blue van yelled several racial type remarks at one of four non-UT subjects that were standing outside a disabled vehicle that was parked in the lot. A white male subject got out of the van with a two foot long steel rod and approached the group by the disabled car. Subject struck a white female once and was in the act of striking a white male several times with the metal rod when UT police arrived on the scene. An illegal club (pair of nun-chucks) was found on the van's driver's side floorboard. A passenger in the van that was not charged with a criminal offense was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found loitering in the west side dumpster area. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
