E. P. Schoch Building, #6 East Mall

Occurred on 9-26-02 between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m.

Theft: A 12"x 9" dark brown "Coach" purse was stolen from an unsecured first floor office after it was left unattended for fifteen minutes. The purse contained a black plastic checkbook style wallet, a light "Palm" Pilot organizer that had a color screen and a black plastic "Verizon" Audiovox cellular telephone. Loss value: $300.00.

Frank C. Erwin Special Events Center, 1701 Red River

Occurred on 9-28-02 between 9:50 a.m. and 1:05 p.m.

Theft: A wallet was left on top of a sports bag in an unsecured basement dressing room during a Shrine Circus performance and $150.00 cash was stolen from the wallet.

Beauford H. Jester Center West, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred between 9-1-02 and 9-27-02 at 4:15 p.m.

Harassing Communication: An unknown female has been making continual annoying telephone calls to a dormitory room on the sixth floor. Subject has called up to thirty times a day.

Possession of a Controlled Substance: A UT student was found in possession of marijuana inside an 8th floor dormitory room after a strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected in the hallway outside the room.

Occurred on 9-28-02 at 11:20 p.m.

Possession of a Controlled Substance and Drug Paraphernalia: A UT student was found inside a fourteenth floor dormitory room in possession of marijuana and a glass smoking pipe with marijuana residue after a strong odor of burnt marijuana was detected outside the room.

North Office Building A, 101 East 27th Street

Occurred on 9-27-02 at 3:45 p.m.

Terroristic Threat: During a counseling session a UT staff member displayed a knife and made life-threatening statements toward staff members.

Parking Garage #2, 2420 San Antonio

Discovered on 9-28-02 at 7:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: The northwest wooden exit control arm was broken off when an unknown vehicle exited the parking garage. Repair cost: $50.00.

Parking Garage #4, 109 West 27th Street

Occurred on 9-27-02 at 2:22 p.m.

Theft of Services: A witness observed a gray four-door Saturn, operated by a Hispanic female parked inside the garage by the second level exit. A second car came up to the exit, honked at the driver of the Saturn and proceeded to the exit. The second car's driver used a garage card and when the gate raised the second car exited with the Saturn exiting right behind it without paying. The license number of the Saturn was turned over to UT Police. Loss value: $13.00.

Parking Lot 28, 2400 Seton

Discovered on 9-27-02 at 7:30 a.m.

Graffiti: Dark blue aerosol paint was used to write a 6"x 18" phrase on the west side wall of the machine room next to Wooldridge Hall. Removal cost: $100.00.

Parking Lot 67, 200 Block Jester Circle Drive

Occurred between 9-29-02 at 8:30 p.m. and 9-30-02 at 12:10 a.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The driver's side window on a silver 1996 Honda Accord was found off it's track and the driver's door that had been locked was found unlocked. A silver with blue lumination Pioneer AM/FM/CD player, model PEH-1400 and a suede steering wheel cover were stolen. The console surrounding the CD player was destroyed in order for the player to be removed. Repair value: $400.00. Loss value: $105.00.

Parking Lot 70, 2000 Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 9-27-02 at 11:10 a.m.

Soliciting / Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were observed standing by a 2001 silver Ford Expedition that was parked in the Parking Lot with the back window up. Boxes containing stereo speakers were found in the back of the vehicle. Subjects were trying to sell poor quality speakers as high priced name brand speakers. Both subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Parking Lot 80, 1900 Block Red River

Occurred on 9-27-02 between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: The driver's side rear door and left rear quarter panel of a 2002 black BMW was damaged after a tool was used to leave two scratches, 18" to 24" in length, in the paint. Repair value: $1,000.00.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Discovered on 9-27-02.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The driver's side window was shattered on a black Chevrolet pickup truck and the Pioneer radio/CD player was stolen from the dash. Repair cost: $100.00. Loss value: $200.00.

Discovered on 9-27-02 at 1:25 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The passenger's window on a black Dodge pickup truck was shattered and the dash radio had been stolen. Repair cost: $300.00. Loss value: $200.00.

Parking Lot 110, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred on 9-27-02 between 9:40 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The driver's side window was shattered on a black Ford Mustang and a black shoulder bag containing three textbooks were stolen from front passenger floorboard. An attempt had been made to take the car stereo out of the dash. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $80.00.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Occurred on 9-19-02 at 9:15 a.m.

Assist an Outside Agency / Recovery of Stolen Property: San Antonio North East Independent School District Police contacted UT Police and advised that several computers that were stolen in San Antonio, had a computer chip in them that would activate a homing signal when the stolen computers was connected to a web server. One of these stolen computers had activated and was currently being used at one of the building's first floor hook-up lines. A UT student from San Antonio was found in possession of the computer that was stolen from San Antonio. Recovery value: $1,200.00.

George I. Sánchez Building, 1912 Speedway

Occurred on 9-28-02 between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Theft: The front license plate was stolen off a red 1999 Saturn while it was parked on the west side of the building. Loss value: $5.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on approximately 9-14-02.

Suspicious Person: On approximately 9-14-02, a non-UT male subject approached a female UT-student outside the San Jacinto Residence Hall dormitory and asked her for her telephone number. The female gave her telephone number "but said it real fast, not thinking that he would actually remember it or hear her." The subject who identified himself as Greg has since made numerous calls to the residence, which is on the south tower's third floor. This subject has already received a written criminal trespass warning. He is described as a white male, 6'2", 180 lbs, short blond hair and hazel eyes. A photo of subject is available at UTPD BOLO.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 9-28-02 at 2:45 a.m.

Public Intoxication / Consumption of Alcohol By Minor: A UT student under the age of twenty-one was found on the west side of the building under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point she had to be treated by EMS.

Whitaker Fields, 51st Street and Guadalupe

Occurred on 9-29-02 between 2:50 p.m. and 5:05 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The driver's side window was shattered on a green 2000 Dodge four-door and a white purse with a brown leather strap was stolen from the vehicle. The purse contained $200.00 in gift certificates, and a brown leather women's Coach wallet. The wallet contained $120.00 cash and assorted identification. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $390.00.

2100 block Speedway

Occurred on 9-30-02 at 2:48 a.m.

Criminal Trespass Warning: Three non-UT subjects were observed riding bicycles on the plaza and doing stunts and tricks off of the planter boxes. All three received criminal trespass warnings.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 9-28=02 at 4:15 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found asleep in a fourth floor room that is reserved for students, faculty and staff. Subject is issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Walter Webb Hall, 2500 Guadalupe

Occurred between 9-26-02 at 10:00 a.m. and 9-27-02 at 8:00 a.m.

Theft: A Power Macintosh G3 was stolen from an unsecured first floor lounge. Loss value: $700.00.
