Development Office Building, 2901 North IH-35

Occurred on 10-21-02 at 4:37 p.m.

Suspicious Person: Several UT staff members saw an unknown subject walking down the hallways on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floor looking into offices. Several asked if they could help him and each time he stated that he was looking for his wife. Subject was described as a black male, 5'10", 160 lbs, in his late 20's. Subject was last seen wearing a plaid shirt, long pants and a blue baseball hat.

Ernest Cockrell Jr. Hall, 301 East Dean Keeton

Occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 10:40 a.m. or between 11:30 a.m. and 11:40 a.m.

Theft: A black leather wallet was stolen from a backpack when it was left unattended twice for ten minutes on the first floor of the Engineering Library while the owner went to another part of the library to send out computer e-mails. The wallet contained $60.00 cash, assorted identification and credit cards.

Gateway Apartments, 1600 West 6th Street

Occurred on 10-2-02 at 1:55 a.m.

Assist an Outside Agency: Two non-UT subjects were found parked in a motor vehicle on the east side of the entrance to the apartment complex. One subject was found to have an outstanding outside agency arrest warrant for a non-hazardous traffic violation.

Parking Lot 115, 116 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-1-02 between 9:20 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left rear passenger window was pulled out from the window frame on a red 1988 Nissan and the car stereo faceplate was stolen from the dash. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $25.00.

Recreational Sports Center, 2001 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 10-1-02 between 2:00 p.m. and 2:50 p.m.

Theft: A black Gap backpack was stolen after it was left in an unsecured locker that was located in the men's first floor locker room. The backpack contained a black tri-fold wallet that contained $60.00 cash along with assorted identification and credit cards, black Maui Gym sunglasses, one textbook, blue and red notebook binders containing class notes and assorted clothing. Loss value: $200.00.

Recreational Sports Center, 2001 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 10-1-02 between 8:50 p.m. and 9:50 p.m.

Theft: A black and olive colored Banana Republic satchel shoulder bag was stolen after it was left in an unsecured locker that was located in the men's first floor locker room. Bag contained $21.00 cash, one textbook, a silver with black face Skagen watch with a stainless steel mesh band, a TI-85 calculator, a small red soft covered pocket bible, a pair of Nautica blue jeans with a brown belt, a "Dayrunner" organizer notebook, three legal pads, along with assorted identification and credit cards. Loss value: $300.00.
