Discovered 10-16-02 at 2:08 a.m.

Graffiti: The phrase "30 Seconds to Mars" written in yellow spray paint was discovered on the sidewalk outside the southwest entrance to the building. Repair value: $100.00.

Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Building, 200 East Dean Keeton

Occurred between 10-14-02 at 7:15 p.m. and 10-15-02 at 9:15 a.m.

Theft: A gold colored MMF Industries steel cash box containing $90.00 in U.S. coins was stolen from an unsecured desk located inside a secured second floor office. Loss value: $100.00.

Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Occurred on 10-15-02 at 11:15 p.m.

Confiscated Contraband: A green and silver colored two-inch pipe containing marijuana residue was discovered inside an abandoned backpack.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Occurred on 10-15-02 at 6:10 p.m.

Criminal Trespass / Assist Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was observed inside a ground level area restricted for faculty, staff and students. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning. It was determined the subject has an outstanding outside agency warrant for theft.

Hal C. Weaver Power Plant Annex, 301 East 24th Street

Occurred between 10-04-02 at 6:00 p.m. and 10-15-02 at 8:30 p.m.

Harassment: A non-UT subject made repeated annoying telephone calls to the control room in violation of a court order.

Beauford H. Jester Center East, 201 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-13-02 at 5:06 a.m.

Harassment: Several harassing telephone calls were received inside a ninth floor dorm room. The caller made lewd and alarming comments to the resident.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 10-12-02 between 2:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Theft: A white 21-speed Trek mountain bicycle with black and red markings and front shocks was stolen from the southern bicycle rack located on the west side of the building. The bicycle was secured with a 1/2-inch cable and a master combination lock. Loss value $200.00.

Perry-Castañeda Library, 101 East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-14-02 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Theft: A Kyocera cellular telephone, model 2035, was stolen after being left unattended on top of a table located on the north side of the building. Loss value $30.00.

200 block East 21st Street

Occurred on 10-15-02 between 12:01 p.m. and 12:50 p.m.

Theft: A green 16-inch Redline BMX-style bicycle was stolen from a concrete light pole located on the south portion of the building. The bicycle was secured with a 1/2-inch self-locking cable. Loss value: $200.00.

500 block East 25th Street

Occurred between 10-10-02 at 8:00 a.m. and 10-15-02 at 5:00 a.m.

Theft: A red/black 24-speed women's K-2 mountain bicycle was stolen from the bicycle racks located on the south side of the Law School. The bicycle's front tire was secured to the rack with a U-shaped lock. A cable connected to the U-shaped lock was used to secure the bicycle frame. Loss value $550.00.

Occurred on 10-15-02 at 5:40 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A UT-staff member was discovered standing next to a campfire under the Waller Creek bridge after UT Police Officers observed smoke from the fire. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning for the area.
