BRACKENRIDGE HOSPITAL Garage, 1413 Red River
Occurred on 10-25-02 at 12:05 a.m.
Assault / Assist an Outside Agency: A witness observed a 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck traveling west in the 1300 block of East 15th Street. He observed the driver, a non-UT male subject, hit the non-UT female passenger, several times. Vehicle was located on level D of the parking garage. Driver was turned over to the Austin Police Department.
McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway
Occurred between 10-11-02 at 7:00 p.m. and 10-24-0 at 10:00 a.m.
Theft: A statistics textbook was stolen from a locker on the second floor. A Master combination lock that was used to secure the locker was also stolen. Loss value: $75.00.
Development Office Building, 2901 North IH-35
Discovered on 10-24-02 at 1:16 p.m.
Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to draw 14 gang-type symbols on a storage unit that is located on the east side of the building. Removal cost: $150.00.
Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35
Occurred on 10-24-02 between 12:16 a.m. and 2:14 a.m.
Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The left rear passenger window was broken out of a gray 2002 Nissan while it was parked in the northwest corner of the Parking Lot. A black Rockford Fosgate 220 watt amplifier and a JL-Audio 10" woofer were stolen from the rear deck. The dashboard radio/CD player was damaged when an attempt was made to remove it. Repair cost: $370.00. Loss value: $250.00.
Parking Lot 108, 1500 Red River
Occurred between 10-21-02 at 9:00 p.m. and 10-24-02 at 6:45 p.m.
Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right front window was broken out of a green 1996 Ford pickup truck and a pair of black jumper cables were stolen from the vehicle. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $5.00.
Penick-Allison Tennis Center, 1701 Trinity
Occurred on 10-24-02 at 10:10 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the east side of the tennis courts near the restrooms. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred on 10-24-02 at 10:56 a.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was reported to be harassing subjects in the second food court area. Subject was also identified as the subject who attempted to steal a three ring binder from the building's Campus Store when he attempted to leave the store without paying for it. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
Occurred on 10-24-02 at 6:40 a.m.
Failure to Identify: A non-UT subject, while operating a motor vehicle, was stopped for a moving traffic violation. Subject gave a false name and date of birth.
