Occurred between 11-5-02 at 7:00 p.m. and 11-6-02 at 7:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A three to four inch wide paint brush was used to apply a homemade paste to glue sheets of 8 1/2"x 11" light blue or white paper propaganda type flyers onto the exterior glass doors of the following buildings: Applied Computational Engineering and Sciences Building (ACES, north side), Graduate School of Business (west side), Experimental Science Building (south side), and Russell A. Steindam Hall (west side) Removal cost: $100.00.

McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway

Occurred between 10-1-02 and 11-6-02 at 7:30 a.m.

Theft: An orange ten-foot fiberglass Warner folding step ladder was stolen from a secured second floor mechanical maintenance room. Loss value: $50.00.

E. P. Schoch Building, #6 East Mall

Occurred between 10-29-02 at 2:00 p.m. and 11-6-02 at 10:00 a.m.

Theft: A purple girls 18-speed bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack on the west side of the building while it was secured with a cable and key lock. Loss value: $150.00.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 11-6-02 at 10:57 p.m.

Public Intoxication: Two non-UT subjects had exited a vehicle on the west side of the building and became involved in a very loud verbal argument. The owner of the vehicle was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point that she was an endangerment to herself.

Recreational Sports Center, 2001 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 11-6-02 between 9:15 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.

Theft: A backpack was left in an unsecured first floor classroom when the instructor took all the students outside to run the stadium ramps. When the owner returned she found that her black cloth bi-fold wallet had been stolen from the backpack. Wallet contained $1.50 cash along with assorted credit and identification cards.

Recreational Sports Center, 2001 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 11-6-02 between 11:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Theft: A black nylon Jansport backpack was stolen from an unsecured locker in the first floor weight room. The backpack contained a Nokia cellular telephone, a black TI-85 calculator, a checkbook and a brown leather tri-fold wallet. The wallet contained $50.00 cash along with assorted credit and identification cards. Loss value: $260.00.

Recreational Sports Center, 2001 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 11-6-02 between 6:15 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Theft: A dark green Eddie Bauer duffle bag that had black straps was placed in a locker in the first floor weight room and was left unsecured while the owner worked out. The bag was found missing when the owner returned but was later found in the first floor men's locker room. A set of car and house keys was stolen from the bag. The keys were on a brown leather key fob that had a Greek cross. Loss value: $5.00.

West Mall Fountain

Discovered on 11-6-02 at 10:30 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: A cleaning detergent was put in the fountain that created suds that resulted in damage to the filtration system. Repair cost: $150.00.

700 East 20 1/2 Street

Discovered on 11-6-02 at 10:00 p.m.

Criminal Mischief: A vehicle immobilizer (wheel boot) was placed on a 1992 Honda due to unpaid service charges. When the vehicle was later checked, it was discovered that someone had attempted to drive the car with the wheel boot still on the vehicle. The boot along with the vehicles left side bumper and tire and vehicle drive train were damaged. Repair cost for the boot: $200.00. Repair cost for the vehicle: $1000.00.
