Animal Resources Center, 2701 Speedway

Occurred on 11-1-02 between 8:15 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Theft: A silver Sony RV17 DV camcorder was stolen from a top shelf inside a secured first floor laboratory. Loss value: $500.00.

Batts Hall, #3 South Mall

Discovered on 11-9-02 at 2:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: An orange plastic parking cone was thrown from the outside of the building through a first floor classroom window that was located on the north side of the building. Repair cost: $100.00.

Brackenridge Apartments, 3501 Lake Austin Blvd.

Occurred between 11-1-02 at 6:00 p.m. and 11-4-02 8:00 a.m.

Theft: A dark green girl's bicycle with 20" wheels was stolen from a bicycle rack adjacent to building 3372 while it was left unsecured. Loss value: $50.00.

Central Receiving Building, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred on 11-8-02 at 11:06 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found asleep on the north side of the building. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Claudia Taylor Johnson Hall, 210 West 6th Street

Discovered on 11-9-02 at 8:10 a.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent felt marker was used to write a gang-style moniker on the globe of a streetlight that was located on the south side of the building. Removal cost: $20.00.

Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, 405 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 11-9-02 at 1:22 p.m.

Consumption of Alcohol By Minor: A UT student under the age of twenty-one was observed by UT Police inside an east side men's restroom with a flask in his back pocket that contained an alcoholic beverage. A strong odor of an alcoholic beverage could be detected on the student's breath.

Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, 405 East 23rd Street

Occurred on 11-9-02 at 1:30 p.m.

Assault: A UT staff member was assaulted in the seating area in Section 28 while he was watching a football game. An unknown subject, who was standing behind him slapped him in the back of the head and elbowed him in the ribs. Subject was described as a white male, approximately 6'1", early twenties, medium build with medium length brown hair. Subject was last seen wearing a black long sleeve shirt.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 11-9-02 at 9:20 p.m.

Assault with Bodily Injury: Two UT students were playing basketball with two unknown subjects who were twins. During the basketball game one of the twins and one of the students began pushing each other. When the second student stepped between them, he was shoved resulting in him sustaining a cut next to his right eyebrow. The twins left the area before UT Police arrived. The twins were described as white males; tall with dirty blond hair and having muscular builds. The twins are reported to frequent the gym's basketball courts.

Jesse H. Jones Communication Center, Building B, 2504-B Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 11-8-02 between 6:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Theft: A chrome Mach 1 BMX style bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack that was located on the north side while it was secured with a chain and padlock. Loss value: $100.00.

Jester Store, 2003 Speedway

Occurred on 11-7-02 at 10:15 p.m.

Theft: UT Police stopped a UT student after she was observed walking out of the store with some merchandise she had not paid for. Loss value: $10.00.

Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue

Occurred between 10-30-02 at 5:00 p.m. and 11-9-02 at 9:45 a.m.

Theft: A purple women's Schwinn Sidewinder bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack that was located on the west side while it was secured with a cable and lock. Loss value: $200.00.

O. Henry Hall, 601 Colorado

Occurred on 11-9-02 at 9:10 p.m.

Public Intoxication / Criminal Trespass / Terroristic Threat: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on the west porch. Subject was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was an endangerment to himself. Subject had been issued a prior written criminal trespass warning. The subject made several threats to use deadly force and cause lethal harm to the UT Police officers. Subject attempted to get into a fighting position but could not stand without assistance.

Parking Garage #3, 200 East Martin Luther King Blvd.

Occurred on 11-11-02 at 12:05 a.m.

Possession of a Controlled Substance / Possession of Narcotic Paraphernalia: Two UT students were observed by UT Police, crouched down on the southeast exterior of the parking garage smoking marijuana through a 3" ceramic pipe. Additional marijuana was found on a paper towel adjacent to the subjects.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred on 11-8-02 between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The driver's side window was broken out of a white 1992 Chevrolet that was parked in the north side of the Parking Lot and a black Sony CDX250 car stereo with detachable face plate was stolen from the dashboard. Loss value: $100.00.

Parking Lot 104, 1900 North IH-35

Occurred between 11-3-02 at 3:00 p.m. and 11-8-02 at 10:00 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The driver's side window was broken out of a white 1991 Chrysler that was parked on the north end of the Parking Lot and a Road Master CD player with a silver faceplate was stolen from the dashboard. Repair cost: $200.00. Loss value: $125.00.

Physical Plant B, 1720 Manor Road

Occurred on 11-8-02 at 9:10 a.m.

Criminal Trespass: Two non-UT subjects were found going through the metal refuse dumpster on the west side of the building. Subjects were removing scrap aluminum. Subjects were issued written criminal trespass warnings.

Robert Lee Moore Hall, 2515 Speedway

Occurred on 11-7-02 between 9:30 a.m. and 10:28 a.m.

Theft: A blue Klein (Model: Pulse Comp) 21-speed bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack on the south side of the building while it was secured with a cable lock. Loss value: $200.00.

Russell A. Steindam Hall, #7 East Mall

Occurred on 11-8-02 between 12:45 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Theft: A dark blue zipper wallet with multicolored vertical stripes was stolen from a green backpack. The backpack was left unattended outside a first floor women's restroom stall for approximately 15 minutes. The wallet contained $400.00 cash, a credit card and identification card.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Discovered 11-11-02 at 1:15 a.m.

Graffiti: A black permanent felt marker was used to write gang-style monikers on a wall in a third floor women's restroom. Removal cost: $25.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred between 11-7-02 at 5:30 p.m. and 11-8-02 at 5:30 p.m.

Graffiti: A blue permanent felt marker was used to write gang-style monikers on several walls in a first floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $200.00.

100 West 21st Street

Occurred on 11-9-02 at 3:00 p.m.

Leaving The Scene Collision: A black Chevrolet Tahoe, while traveling westbound, collided its right side with the left side rearview mirror of a tan Mazda pickup truck that was parked along the north curb line. The black Chevrolet Tahoe failed to stop and give notice.

300 West 21st Street

Occurred between 10-31-02 at 8:00 p.m. and 11-1-02 at 5:15 p.m.

Theft: A glossy black HJC motorcycle helmet was stolen after it was left on the handlebars of a motorcycle that was parked in the motorcycle zone near the entry kiosk. The helmet was a "full design" with a 1" x 1" Harley Davidson sticker on the rear. The helmet had a customized chrome metal and black plastic quick release chin strap. Loss value: $100.00.

300 West Inner Campus Drive

Occurred on 11-9-02 at 2:36 a.m.

Public Intoxication - 2 Counts / Possession of Prohibited Weapon: A pickup truck was found parked in the roadway, partly blocking traffic. Two non-UT subjects were found asleep inside the vehicle. Both subjects were found under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point they were an endangerment to themselves. A loaded semi-automatic handgun was found on the floorboard next to the driver's feet. The driver was transported by EMS to the hospital because he could not be awakened due to acute alcohol poisoning.
