Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 11-19-02 between 10:10 p.m. and 10:40 p.m.

Theft: A black and red Billabong tri-fold wallet was stolen from the weight room after being left unsecured. The wallet contained an identification card and assorted credit cards. Loss value: $2.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred on 11-19-02 between 2:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Theft: A white 26" Raleigh, M80, 24-speed mountain bicycle with chrome handlebars and incline bars was stolen from the bicycle racks located on the west side of the Main Building after being secured with a cable lock. Loss value: $150.00.

Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall

Discovered 11-19-02 at 7:45 a.m.

Graffiti: A red felt marker was used to write a hate related remark on a door panel inside an elevator. Loss value: $50.00.

Recreational Sports Center, 2001 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 11-19-02 between 2:15 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Theft: A blue and silver Trek 4300 Alpha mountain bicycle was stolen from the bicycle racks located on the west side of the building after being secured with a combination cable lock. Loss value: $300.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 11-19-02 at 9:55 a.m.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was found sleeping on a couch in a fourth floor study hallway in an area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 11-19-02 at 9:00 a.m.

Criminal Trespass Warning: A non-UT subject was located inside a third floor suite that was reserved for faculty, staff and students. Subject was given a criminal trespass warning.

700 block East 25th Street

Occurred on 11-19-02 at 10:50 p.m.

Driving While Intoxicated / Possession of Prohibited Weapon: A non-UT subject was stopped after driving a motor vehicle the wrong way on a posted one way street. The driver was found to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was unable to complete a standardized field sobriety test. During a search of the subject's vehicle a pair of nunchucks were found inside the trunk.

2500 block Robert Dedman Drive

Occurred on 11-20-02 at 1:30 a.m.

Criminal Mischief: A UT staff member returned to his vehicle and found a non-UT subject tampering with the door lock on his car. The front windshield of the vehicle had been smashed. The subject left the area but was located two minutes later by UT Police carrying a dismantled Compaq Presario laptop computer inside a black leather case. Subject admitted to using a "brown rapper," a hammer-like device, to break out the windshield. Repair cost: $250.00.
