Blanton Dormitory, 2500 University Avenue

Occurred between 12-12-02 at 12 noon and 1-14-03 at 8:00 a.m.

Theft: A girl's 15-speed pink Raleigh bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack that was located on the northeast side of the quadrangle while it was secured with a cable and combination lock. Loss value: $150.00.

McCombs School of Business, 2110 Speedway

Occurred on 1-13-03 between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Theft: An Energy Law textbook was stolen from a locker that was located on the first floor near the south entrance. The locker had been secured with a combination lock. The lock was also stolen. Loss value: $50.00.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 1-14-02 at 5:50 p.m.

Assault: Two UT students were playing basketball opposite each other on a southwest basketball court. During the game student #1 hit student #2 in the face as student #2 was "going for a rebound." Student #2 then grabbed student #1 by the neck, lifting him off the ground and pushed him away. Subjects continued playing basketball for ten more minutes and then reported the assault to UT police when the game was over.

Gregory Gymnasium, 2101 Speedway

Occurred on 1-13-03 between 6:45 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

Theft: A gym bag was placed behind a third floor basketball goal while the owner played basketball. After the game the owner discovered that $60.00 cash had been stolen from a money clip that had been inside the gym bag.

Printing and Press Building, 2100 Comal Street

Discovered on 1-15-03 at 12:10 a.m.

Graffiti: Black spray paint was used to write a gang style moniker on a control box located on the west side of the building. Removal cost: $50.00.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 1-14-03 at 7:55 p.m.

Assault / Criminal Trespass: A UT staff member was working on the first floor at the exterior door to the Underground. Three non-UT subjects walked up to the door and one of them asked if the Underground was open. When the staff member said that it was, one of the subjects pushed him and asked if he wanted to fight because he took offense to how the staff member answered his question. All three subjects were issued criminal trespass warnings.

Union Building, #4 West Mall

Occurred on 1-15-03 between 2:00 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.

Theft: A black Nortel Networks telephone was stolen from a third floor courtesy telephone booth. Loss value: $100.00.
