Occurred on 1-16-03 between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Theft: A black Haro BMX bicycle was stolen from a bicycle rack on the southwest corner of the building while it was secured with a cable and combination lock. Loss value: $130.00.
Frank Denius Fields, 2500 Red River
Occurred between 12-2-02 and 12-15-02.
Theft: A rented 2,500 watt Wacker G2:5A gas powered generator was stolen from a room in the maintenance warehouse. The generator was not reported stolen because it was thought to be at another location on campus. On January 16, 2003 Guadalupe County Sheriff's Office reported recovering the generator during the execution of a search warrant involving the theft of other rental property. Recovery value: $1,000.
Beauford H. Jester Center East, 203 East 21st Street
Occurred between 8-02 and 11-02.
Theft: A UT student had a cousin stay with him in a fourth floor dormitory room several times over a four-month period. During this time period the subject stole several bank checks that belonged to the student and cashed them in his name. Estimated loss value: $300.00 to $400.00.
Kinsolving Dormitory, 2605 Whitis Avenue
Occurred on 1-16-03 at 7:50 a.m.
Harassing Communication: An unknown male subject, "in his teens," called a fourth floor dormitory room and made an obscene statement. Subject called two more times after being hung-up on the first time.
Moore-Hill Dormitory, 214 East 21st Street
Discovered on 1-15-03 at 10:12 a.m.
Criminal Mischief: The glass was broken out of a first floor northeast hallway window. Evidence at the scene indicated that the window had been broken out from the inside. Repair cost: $140.00.
T. S. Painter Hall, 103 West 24th Street
Discovered on 1-16-03 at 12:10 p.m.
Graffiti: A red felt marker was used to draw two symbols (4 inches x 4 inches and 2 inches x 2 inches) and write two words (2 feet x 3 feet) on a wall and two doors inside a second floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $200.00.
