John B. Connally Center for Justice, 726 East 25th Street

Occurred on 1-23-03 between 2:00 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.

Theft: A black leather Bottega Veneta wallet was stolen from a purse that was left in an unsecured second floor office. The wallet contained $272.00 cash, assorted personal identification cards and five credit cards. A black Quigley folding wallet was stolen from another purse that was left in the same office. It contained $220 cash, assorted personal identification cards and four credit cards. Total loss value: $620.00.

Garrison Hall, #3 East Mall

Occurred on 1-23-03 at 3:50 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found on the first floor in an area that is reserved for faculty, staff and students.

L. Theo Bellmont Hall, 2109 San Jacinto Blvd.

Occurred on 1-23-03 at 7:20 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found in a third floor men's locker room that is reserved for faculty, staff and Recreational Sports members. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.

Living Learning Center A, 2610 Whitis Avenue

Occurred between 12-14-02 at 5:00 p.m. and 1-17-03 at 5:00 p.m.

Burglary: A "Calculus: One and Several Variables" textbook, an "Art History" textbook and a psychology textbook along with $20.00 to $30.00 in quarters were stolen from a secured first floor dormitory room. Loss value: $220.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred between 1-17-03 at 4:00 p.m. and 1-21-03 at 2:12 p.m.

Theft: A stainless steel Starbuck's coffee mug was stolen from a first floor office. Loss value: $5.00.

Main Building, #1 South Mall

Occurred between 1-22-03 at 3:45 p.m. and 1-23-03 at 7:00 a.m.

Theft: A white and black Texas Union coffee mug along with an Apple Pro computer mouse were stolen from a first floor office. Loss value: $35.00.

Parking Lot 110, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred on 1-23-03 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:20 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right front window was broken out of a silver 1996 Nissan that was parked in the southeast side of the Parking Lot. The faceplate was pried off of a dash mounted AM/FM/CD player. Repair cost: $200.00.

Parking Lot 110, 2200 Comal Street

Occurred on 1-23-03 between 1:00 p.m. and 1:20 p.m.

Burglary of Motor Vehicle: The right front window was broken out of a White 1985 Oldsmobile that was parked in the southeast side of the Parking Lot. A black CD case containing 40 CD's was stolen from the right front floorboard. During the period that the theft could have occurred a brown or gold 1986 Nissan was seen stopped beside the Oldsmobile. This same vehicle was seen at another automobile burglary that had occurred earlier off campus. Four unknown subjects occupied the vehicle. Two of these subjects were seen standing by the Oldsmobile. Subject #1 was described as a Hispanic male, 14 to 15 years of age, 120 pounds. Subject had a headband with possibly a feather or some other object sticking out of it. Subject #2 was described as a Hispanic male, high school or college age and was wearing a flannel jacket. Repair cost: $150.00. Loss value: $100.00.

San Jacinto Residence Hall, 309 East 21st Street

Occurred on 1-22-03 at 4:45 p.m.

Possession of a Controlled Substance / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia: Responding to a report of the smell of marijuana, UT police found a UT student in a fifth floor, north tower dormitory room in possession of a plastic baggie of marijuana and a ceramic pipe that had marijuana residue on it.

Sarah M. and Charles E. Seay Building, 108 East Dean Keeton

Occurred on 1-23-03 at 8:42 a.m.

Public Intoxication / Assist an Outside Agency: A non-UT subject was found drinking an alcoholic beverage in the east side first floor lobby. Subject was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage to the point he was an endangerment to himself. Subject was found to have 10 outstanding outside agency arrest warrants for failing to appear regarding 10 arrest charges for public intoxication.

2600 Whitis Avenue

Occurred on 1-23-03 at 2:33 p.m.

Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject had set up some tables and was soliciting people to fill out credit card applications in exchange for various items displayed on the table. The solicitation was in violation of Regent Rules and Regulations. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
