Occurred on 1-27-03 at 6:00 a.m.
Assault with Bodily Injury (Domestic Violence): While sleeping on an apartment couch, a non-UT subject was burned with a cigarette on his left bicep by his spouse, who is a UT student. A verbal argument then ensued resulting in the subject receiving additional injuries involving a cut on the nose and scratches on the face due to being slapped multiple times. When the subject called 911, the spouse unplugged the phone.
Central Receiving Building, 2200 Comal Street
Occurred between 1-23-03 at 12 noon and 1-28-03 at 8:25 a.m.
Theft: A Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop computer with Intel Pentium III processor was stolen from an unsecured second floor conference room. Loss value: $800.00.
Homer Rainey Hall, 200 West 21st Street
Occurred on 1-29-03 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Theft: A silver Sprint PCS cellular telephone Model SCP5300 with full color screen containing a built in camera was stolen from a jacket that was left unattended in several locations inside and outside the building while the owner took photographs of the building. Loss value: $300.00.
Geology Building, #10 East Mall
Occurred between 1-27-03 at 5:00 p.m. and 1-29-03 at 9:00 a.m.
Theft: A Dell Latitude laptop computer was stolen from a secured laboratory storage room on the second floor. Loss value: $1000.00.
Parking Lot 103, 2100 Comal Street
Occurred between 1-26-03 at 10:00 p.m. and 1-29-03 at 11:15 p.m.
Criminal Mischief: The left side door exterior door lock faceplate was damaged on a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck. The left side interior armrest had been pulled away from the door, and the alarm system had been disconnected. Repair cost: $300.00.
Peter T. Flawn Academic Center, #2 West Mall
Discovered on 1-29-03 at 2:36 p.m.
Graffiti: A black felt marker was used to write words on a wall in a second floor men's restroom. Removal cost: $50.00.
Union Building, #4 West Mall
Occurred on 1-29-03 at 3:50 p.m.
Criminal Trespass: A non-UT subject was found asleep on the third floor in an area that is reserved for faculty, staff, students and invited guests. Subject was issued a written criminal trespass warning.
